Multiple Spring Seals

Multiple spring seals are designed so that an even face load is applied over the face area but a number of compression springs. This results in higher pressure sealing capabilities.

Multiple spring mechanical seals are available as internal component and external Cartridge Seals, as standard with 316SS and triple phenolic carbon.

TYPE 40

Internal balanced multiple spring Seal, with robust design and critical components sealed out of operating fluid, is suitable for higher pressure applications.

TYPE 1609 / 16095

Internal multiple spring Seal available with chemically resilient PTFE wedge (Type 1609) or with ‘O’-Ring (Type 1609S) secondary seal.

TYPE 1609B / 1609BS

Internal multiple spring Seal to suit balanced stepped shafts, available with chemically resilient PTFE wedge (Type 1609) or with ‘O’-Ring (Type 1609S) secondary seal

TYPE 1645 / 16455

Internal multiple spring Seal available with chemically resilient PTFE wedge (Type 1645) or with ‘O’-Ring (Type 1645S) secondary seal. Designed to conform to ANSI B 73 fitting dimensions

TYPE 1645B / 1645BS

Internal multiple spring Seal to suit balanced stepped shafts, available with chemically resilient PTFE wedge (Type 1645B) or with ‘O’-Ring (Type 1645BS) secondary seal. Designed to conform to ANSI B73 fitting dimensions.

TYPE 1659 / 1659S

Internal multiple spring Seal available with chemically resilient PTFE wedge (Type 1609) or with ‘O’-Ring (Type 1609S) secondary seal. Designed to conform to DIN 24960 fitting dimensions.

TYPE 1659B / 1659BS

Internal multiple spring Seal to suit balanced stepped shafts, available with chemically resilient PTFE wedge (Type 1659) or with ‘O’-Ring (Type 1659S) secondary seal. Designed to conform to DIN 24960 fitting dimensions.
