High Performance Sealing Solutions for Chemical Processing Applications
Eastern Seals (UK) Ltd supplies a wide range of sealing materials to meet the demands of the Chemical Processing industry. These include materials that satisfy various international standards including FDA and USP Class VI for the manufacture of active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
When high specification materials are needed to withstand both harsh chemical environments and extreme high temperatures, Eastern Seals offers a variety of materials to suit each unique application. These include FKM, FFKM, FEP, HNBR, Viton GLT and Viton B.
Because of the diverse range of markets within the Chemical Processing industry sector, a number of high performance materials are required to satisfy the demand for superior chemical sealing, reliability and long service life. Plants around the world benefit from the company’s in-house Technical team that can pin-point the best sealing solution for each process.
Perfluoroelastomers (FFKM) provide outstanding chemical and thermal resistance, making them ideal for use in the most demanding Chemical Processing sealing applications. FFKM helps withstand many aggressive chemicals and extends the operational range in extreme high temperature environments.
Encapsulated O-Rings (FEPs and PFAs) are recommended when a standard O-Ring has inadequate chemical resistance for an application, and a solid PTFE O-Ring does not have the elasticity for reliable, long term fluid sealing. These have either a Viton or Silicone Core, however, a spring version is also available for Cryogenic applications.
With over 30 years’ experience in the sealing industry, Eastern Seals provide Chemical Processing markets with sealing solutions that last longer, require less maintenance and deliver the lowest cost of ownership. The company also provides full traceability – a highly desirable factor for any critical application.
